iUniversity Prep Named to U.S. News & World Report “Best High Schools” List
iUniversity Prep was selected for inclusion in the U.S. News & World Report’s annual “Best High Schools” ranking of public high schools across the nation.
We were delighted to learn that iUniversity Prep was selected for inclusion in the prestigious
list for 2018 for U.S. News & World Report.
The annual report identifies the nation’s top-performing public high schools based on how well they serve all students when it comes to mastery of basic academic skills and readiness for college-level work. iUniversity Prep was among the top 30% (approximately) of high schools selected for recognition, out of a possible 20,548 public high schools in all 50 states and the District of Columbia that were eligible to be ranked.
More about the report:
iUniversity Prep was one of the 3,237 schools that received a bronze ranking from U.S. News. The report scored us with 95% and 94% in reading and math proficiency, respectively.
What makes our designation particularly impressive is that the data used for the analysis is based on the most recently-available data from state accountability and advanced placement test performance, among other sources, which in this case is the 2015-16 school year. That was only our third year in operation!
(By the way, here’s a quick fun fact: Because the report is based on 2015-16 school year information, our enrollment is indicated at 379. This year, we expect to close the year with approximately 700 students enrolled - that’s quite a bit of growth in just two short years.)
This kind of recognition wouldn’t be possible without the skills, talent, and commitment of our Owl Professors and the entire iUniversity Prep team, who work hard every day to provide a rigorous, engaging learning experience for our students. Each year, the members of our growing senior class go on to earn admission and scholarships at competitive-entry colleges around the country, something that wouldn’t be possible without the combined efforts of our students, parents, and faculty. As time goes on, I’m very confident that we will continue to have more accolades and achievements to celebrate.
